The growing Amazon range of Echo devices spans different prices and shapes, starting at Rs. 2,999 Echo Flex and Echo Input, to Rs. 29,999 Echo Link Amp. Although most of them are amplifiers or audio-focused equipment, the Echo Show range includes devices with displays. The latest in the Echo Show range launched in India is the Echo Show 8, which is priced at Rs. 12999. The device is now available for pre-orders at a reduced price for the launch of Rs. 8999, and will be shipped on February 26.
Amazon Echo Show 8 was launched globally in September of last year along with other Echo-branded devices like Echo Buds and Echo Frames. The device has an 8-inch HD touch screen, 2-inch neodymium speakers, along with passive bass radiator. Like other Echo devices, Echo Show 8 connects to the Internet via Wi-Fi, and gives users access to Alexa, the company’s voice assistant.
You can also get a full range of Alexa capabilities, including voice assistance, information and music streaming through connected and connected services. Thanks to the screen and camera, Echo Show 8 can be used for video calls, as well as using the camera for the popular sign-in feature that allows users to quickly and easily connect to their own Echo devices. There is also a physical shutter over the front camera, which will be helpful for anyone with privacy concerns.
Echo Show 8 is slightly more expensive than Echo Show 5, which is currently priced at Rs. 6,999 keeping in mind that Echo Show 8 is due to Rs. 8,999 for pre orders. However, it is more affordable than the full size echo display sold at Rs. 22999 and has a 10.1-inch screen. In most ways, Echo Show 8 is expected to offer the same level of capabilities as the rest of the range.
