Call of Duty 2020 Coming in Q4, Activision COO Confirms

Activision COO Coddy Johnson has confirmed that there will be a new Call of Duty game in Q4 this year. While contacting the financial results for Q4 2019 of Activision, he said he already shared the hype surrounding the gaming tests. During the same call, CEO Bobby Kotec hinted that there will be more treatments. This follows the success of their former opponents in Spyro and Crash Bandicoot.

Johnson said: “So via console, PC, mobile, and sports, the Call of Duty franchise has not been in a better position to grow, and there is more to come, including brand new experiences in the Modern Warfare world, then, of course, in Q4 this year, A new premium version of Call of Duty, which is already generating excitement in our game tests. ”

So far, there is no news about who will be involved in developing the new Call of Duty. The restart of Modern Warfare last year, developed by Infinity Ward, was very good for the company that generated sales of more than $ 600 million in the first three days. Appreciating the success of Modern Warfare’s restart, Activision from Kotick said, “Our recent Call of Duty success demonstrates our growth potential, as we have expanded our community to include more players in more countries on more platforms than ever before. Thanks to our strong streak of content across our franchise and momentum in mobile, sports and advertising, we look forward to continuing the joy of our players, fans and stakeholders in 2020 and beyond. ”

Although the game’s sales increased by “two-digit” when compared to the previous version, namely Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Activision does not believe that the next installment of the franchise will do so, for reasons unknown to us.

The Call of Duty franchise started in 2003 and not a year has passed since then without the new Call of Duty game.

Kotick also talked about re-imagining some well-known IP addresses and said: “Don’t be alarmed by some future announcements, but after purely redeployments there are now plenty of opportunities to innovate and think completely new content within these IPs.” It is not clear which IP addresses you will get on the remaster, but there appears to be a lot to look forward to from Activision.
