Google announced the first true wireless earphones, Google Pixel Buds, in October 2019 alongside Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. At the time, Google announced the new earphones for sale in early 2020, but had not disclosed any other details, including pricing and availability for each country. A new report now indicates that the real Google Pixel Buds wireless service can soon be on sale for $ 179 (about Rs. 12,800), based on a list of products that are now removed in a third-party store.
The listing was spotted on B&H Photo’s online store by 9to5Google, which also spotted $ 179 and the “Clearly White” color option. There were no pictures on the list, and pre-orders were. While active, 9to5Google indicates that it was possible to go ahead and complete the pre-order, but no shipping date has been specified.
The listing has been removed since then, and searching for Pixel Buds in the online store only shows the standard Bluetooth version of Google Pixel Buds released in 2017. The new Pixel Buds battery has a life of 5 hours per charge, with an additional 24 hours provided by the case. As with previous Google headphones, it will be easy to access the Google Assistant via real wireless earphones.
Although it doesn’t indicate much, it is a sign that Pixel Buds can be on sale in some countries soon, and the $ 179 price leak is likely to be accurate as well. This will upgrade Google Pixel Buds against the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Buds + phone, which has already been pre-ordered in India for Rs. 11990. Unlike AirPods Pro, which features active noise cancellation, the new Google Pixel Buds has passive noise isolation.
